What is Leadership Germantown?

Leadership Germantown is a unique program designed to enhance current leadership abilities and offer skill building sessions to developing leaders within the Germantown community. Leadership Germantown provides training in both leadership skills and community awareness in an effort to build unique and dynamic leaders who will contribute to the advancement of our community and within their profession.

Program sessions are split into two disciplines: Community focuses on the Germantown economy, business, education, local history and cultural affairs, human services, government, recreation and the environment; Professional skill sessions focus on training that will advance your personal and professional life by expanding your skills in team building, visionary thinking, trusteeship, communications, managing change and more. Additional benefits include networking opportunities while developing your own level of leadership abilities.

How does the Leadership Germantown program work?

Participants are sponsored by their employers, local businesses or organizations that want to enhance the participant’s training and leadership opportunities. Participants attend full-day leadership sessions each month, from September through May. Participants ultimately work on a group project intended to benefit the community. Project results are presented by participants to their sponsors and community leaders during the Leadership Germantown graduation banquet held in May.
